It started with a submerged-land lease near St. Augustine, Florida (Ostra Farms), and a simple problem: we needed to understand a site, its depth, its water, and what was on the bottom, without paying for a full survey every time a question came up. The tools we built to answer that worked far beyond a single oyster lease.
